Getting started
What GoProject is
The shape of the product in five minutes: spaces, projects, work items, modules.
One GoProject for the whole organisation
GoProject is a work management platform that runs on your organisation's own servers. A single GoProject serves the whole organisation, which can work in it in several spaces.
A space brings together the work of a team or a product. It has its own members, teams and automation rules. Inside a space you create projects. Each project has a set type (Scrum, Kanban, Help Desk or Internal), a unique key, a workflow, role permissions and module settings. Work item types are managed in a shared system catalogue, and for each project you can choose which of them it uses.
Work items
Work is organised around work items. Each one has a unique key such as PAY-234, a type (task, bug, change request, epic or a type you define yourself), a status and custom fields. The status can only be changed along the transitions the workflow provides. Work items can have sub-items, links, components, attachments, followers and work logs.
Modules switch on per project
For each project you can switch on the modules it needs: board, sprints, releases, time tracking, acceptance certificates, Gantt chart, calendar, documents, testing, security levels, risks, check-ins and Google Drive. A project created without a template starts with only the board and releases switched on. A Scrum project always has sprints, while a Help Desk project has no sprints, releases, Gantt chart, testing, risks or check-ins. When a module is switched off, its tab is no longer shown and the module's pages cannot be opened, not even from links saved earlier.
A Help Desk is a project type rather than a module: it adds a customer portal, ticket types, SLA policies and a mailbox.
