Dashboards and widgets

Home, your own dashboards, the widget catalogue, widget settings and sharing.

A dashboard is a handful of widgets you want to see at once. Each widget answers one question: what is mine, what is late, how a sprint or a Help Desk is doing.

Home

Home is the system dashboard everyone lands on. It is arranged by the system administrators, so you read it but do not change it.

Create a dashboard

  1. In the sidebar, choose the plus beside Dashboards (New dashboard) and name it.
  2. Choose Edit, then Add widget.
  3. Pick widgets from the catalogue. Groups: My day, Spaces and teams, Development, Statistics, Testing and Help Desk; Search widgets finds one by name.
  4. Drag widgets to arrange them and pull a corner to resize them.
  5. Choose Done.

While you are editing, Rename is on the same toolbar; the bin button there deletes the dashboard.

Widgets

  • My day: work assigned to you, My numbers (assigned, overdue, due today, blockers, filed, followed), what falls due in the next five days, where you have just been, the one item to continue, quick actions, the inbox summary
  • Spaces and teams: your spaces and projects, the teams you lead, Portfolio, Goals, the Activity stream
  • Statistics: Filter result (the items one of your filters, or a shared one, finds), Pie chart and Two-dimensional statistics (counted by status, type, priority, assignee, reporter, project, sprint, release or labels)
  • Development: My sprints (the sprints you have work in) and Sprint health (progress, time elapsed, scope change, blockers, unassigned work)
  • Testing: Test cycle status (passed, failed, blocked, skipped, not run, the share executed and the pass rate)
  • Help Desk: SLA kept and SLA breaches for one Help Desk project

While you are editing, each widget has a menu with Widget settings: the filter or project it reads, the rows to show, a colour line and how often it refreshes (Only when I ask or every 1 to 60 minutes). Remove widget takes it off the dashboard; the data stays.

Share a dashboard

  1. Open your dashboard and choose Share.
  2. Pick People, Groups or Projects, then Save.

The board is shared, not what it shows: every widget shows each reader only what they may see. Readers see who shared it; arranging it stays with you.
